Couple of years ago I first heard about something called ‘juice fast’. I imagined people who are seating or lying down with zero energy, until they can finally eat solid food again…Honestly, I couldn’t imagine life without solid food. It looked unreal…
But things happen, and the more I got into the world of healthy food choices and green lifestyle, I figured that ‘juice fast’ is actually a very healthy thing you can do for your body and soul. The advantages are endless, and you can read about it in my page about juices and juice fast.
These days I’m doing my spring cleanse fast, which is a bit different then the usual ‘juice fast’ as I start slowly with different shakes before I get only on juices.
Today is my 4th day and I call it ‘the green day’ because it is based on green vegetables.
This is my first juice of the day:
What you need:
* 2 celery stalks
* 2 carrots (organic, don’t peel)
* 1/2 big cucumber (or 2 small)
* handful baby spinach
* 1 green apple (red apple will also do. and as I said before: organic taste way way better!))
* 2 ice cubes (if you are using a cold-preesed juicer you may give up the ice)
What to do:
Blend everything in a blender and enjoy! You may garnish with green leaves.
